Youth Man embark on UK Tour

Coming off a shed-load of praise following the release of their debut EP ‘Bad Weather‘ toward the end of last year, Birmingham three-piece Youth Man are embarking on a UK tour.

Receiving hype from all angles, including airplay on XFM and Radio 1, as well as being featured in Rocksound, Fake DIY and now Birthday Cake for Breakfast (*Ahem*), Youth Man are creating quite the name for themselves.

I first discovered these guys when they opened up for &U&I and Shapes at The Flapper in Brum late last year (where I had drunken chats with both bands, interviews here and here) , and it was quite clear what the hype was all about. Belting through a blistering set, they perfectly set up the rest of the night. All about proper high energy punk, that once left front woman Kaila Whyte “covered in blood” after suffering a nasty gash on stage (*Ahem*)

So now they’re off on tour, and you can catch them toward the end of the month! The dates listed so far are as follows, with more to be announced soon:

18th January – Hare & Hounds, Birmingham
22nd January-  The Bell Jar, Sheffield
23rd January – New Slang, Kingston
25th January – Start The Bus, Bristol
28th January – The Old Blue Last, London

Whilst you’re keeping your eyes peeled for further dates, you can get your ears around their five track EP, which is up for streaming here.
