When it comes to music videos, the mighty Turbowolf have been slaying as of late. Their upcoming second album ‘Two Hands’ has already spawned three trippy as fuck videos, and this week they let loose yet another new one in the form of ‘Nine Lives’
The frantic, mind-altering video fits in nicely with the oddball theatrics of last year’s radio smash ‘Rabbits Foot’, and the recent trippy visuals from the seven-minute epic ‘Rich Gift’.
Taken from their new record Two Hands, Nine Lives is a tremendous, groove infused banger with an awesome sing-along chorus. Fast becoming one of my favourites from the new album, it’s a brilliant addition to their meteoric rise.
In a statement from the band, vocalist Chris Georgiadis describes the latest tune as “‘…a song about making the most of our limited time; about living with no regrets; about changing our attitudes towards death and about life. It’s a celebration of the known, unknown and everything in between.”
The new record is now just under two weeks from being released, and a stream of the album will be available on their website from Monday! It’s a huge record and well worthy of the anticipation it’s garnered, with standout tracks like ‘American Mirrors’ and ‘Good Hand’ sounding massive alongside the tracks we’ve already heard.
Check out the new video below, and when you’re finished with that, check out this interview with vocalist Chris and Bass player Lianna that took place last month on their UK and European tour with the mighty Death From Above 1979.
