So it seems everyone was pretty pumped with the announcement that Alkaline Trio have joined the ranks of this year’s 2000trees festival! Well not to be outdone (by themselves?!), the organisers have gone ahead and released the names of even more bands to play this year! Unsurprisingly, this year they will be expecting the event to sell out.
Joining the likes of DEAF HAVANA, IDLEWILD, WE ARE THE OCEAN, THE SUBWAYS and YOUNG GUNS, the final line-up will also see Errors, Skinny Lister, Honeyblood, Kiran Leonard, ROAM, Tax the Heat, Boy Jumps Ship and Oh Boy!
On this year’s massive line-up, organiser Andy Rea is as pleased as a dog with two dicks “This is the best line-up we’ve ever had and the reaction has been amazing with tickets flying off the shelves – who would have thought we’d see the likes of Alkaline Trio, Deaf Havana and Idlewild in a field near Cheltenham?”
He continues “Despite big festivals making it as tough as possible and trying to squeeze us out, we’re flourishing with support from real music fans and it’s looking like another record-breaking year!”
I think that’s the important thing here – real music fans. This isn’t V Fest or Reading and Leeds. Bands are a big part of this festival, and the organisers listen to their fans and supporters. This year, on July 9th to the 11th, the award-winning 2000trees Festival will be celebrating its ninth birthday. It features the very best new and underground music across six stages, plus comedy, DJs, a silent disco, quality food and drink, and even entertainment for nippers!
Other acts among the 100-strong bill include And So I Watch You From Afar, &U&I, Cleft, Future of the Left, Kerbdog, Pulled Apart By Horses, Arcane Roots, The Xcerts, The Twilight Sad, We Were Promised Jetpacks, Turbowolf and Feed the Rhino!
