I’ve been keeping an eye out for this one for a while, and the result certainly lived up to the expectations.
The latest video from Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes is DIY through and through. Writing on the band’s Facebook, Frank set out the video like this:
“What do you get if you have no budget for a music video, Microsoft Paint and a 30 day free trial of Adobe Premiere Pro?”
Designed, drawn, animated and edited entirely by Carter, the video is unapologetically simple and raw, and yet therein lies its charm (although I’ll be fucked if I could knock up something as good in paint…)
You’ve got to admire the hilarious honesty and dedication of Frank. But it’s clear from the new video and everything that’s come along with his work with The Rattlesnakes, that ever since organising this ferocious new project, he’s putting himself into it 100% and, most importantly, having a tremendous time doing it.
I caught one of the many sold out Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes shows at Manchester’s Star and Garter last year, and they completely tore the roof off. The place was going crazy, with every single person in the venue completely behind it; familiar scenes occurring up and down the country and wherever else the band went.
