It’s a shame I wasn’t a week or two earlier in my discovery of GANG, as sadly its three members have recently been found dead inside a rural disused church in Kent. Thankfully, their green-hued doppelGANGers appear to be just as gnarly and ready to take over the job. I for one welcome our new green-hued overlords.
The alleged death of GANG has been spectacularly captured in the brand new film from Dogbrain Videos. Less a music video and more of a mini-movie, this scare fest from the Brighton based trio is a perfect accompaniment to their belting new single ‘Dead’.
A loving nod to the films of 60’s and 70’s British Horror, the epic mini-movie captures the kooky, spooky style of these cats down to the ground.
I caught GANG supporting WAND last night at the Brudenell in Leeds and it was pretty fucking gnarly, the trio playing an assortment of sludgy, doom-filled smashers. All of their output is recorded at Barnroom Studios – the garage-cum-studio belonging to cult guitarist Bernie Tormé (ex-Ozzy Osbourne & Atomic Rooster), the father of band siblings Eric and Jimi Tormey – notable for its use of strange recording equipment acquired by him over the years.
Dead/Enough Nothing is out on an exclusive 7” this November 25th through Ra-Ra-Rok Records. Have a gander at the new video below and be sure to pre-order yourself a copy here, or you know – Them green lads might come to your house and make all your hair fall out…
