“Stendhal Syndrome’ is just a song reminding you of what a prick sounds like.”
Fair fucks to big, beardy, baldy bassist Adam Devonshire of Bristol’s IDLES – Taking thought provoking spaces of tranquillity like the Tate Britain and the National Gallery – and breaking through all that, giving them a right big beef injection.
The video for new IDLES single ‘Stendhal Syndrome’ documents all this, providing a humorous backdrop to the heart-racing, acerbic single. It’s taken from their debut album ‘Brutalism’, out this March and coinciding with a host of UK tour dates.
It’s fair to say a lot of people are waking up to IDLES. As well as popping up all over the place and hooking up with the likes of Fred Perry, BBC Introducing and Noisey, incredibly they’re supporting The Maccabees during some of their upcoming farewell shows!
