When a band gets in touch and self-describes their sound as “Tubelord meets Biffy Clyro meets Regina Spektor”, you tend to take a few minutes out of your day to check out their stuff! In the case of Peterborough based Math-Poppers Flat Earth Society (FES), they’re certainly not far off.

Their live session for ‘Tongue Tied’, recorded with the good folk at The Noise Cabin, was what first caught my attention – Enough to get math fans salivating with those tooth-achingly sweet guitar tones!

Good news then that their debut EP ‘You Do You’ is out on 22nd March. Even better news that Birthday Cake For Breakfast has the exclusive first stream of the EP in full below!

Recorded, Mixed and Mastered by our good pal Will Cook (who goes off into loving detail on the guitar tones here!), the debut from this Peterborough trio is full of sun-soaked, delectable pop nuggets with infectious, heart-on-sleeve vocals (Get a load of ‘Talk It Out’!)

Aside from its release on Wednesday, the EP gets its official launch at a show on March 25th with Exploder Than You, Bearded Youth Quest and Goldblume at The Corner house in Cambridge!

Get a load of You Do You below and grab yourself a physical copy here!
