Boy oh boy, that last minute of the new single from London based USA Nails is furious! Hideous, stabbing guitar jabs out over a deafening rumble from the rhythm section and acerbic shouts of frontman Steven Hodson. One of the most exciting outfits of the past few years, USA Nails sound just as captivating here as they did the day this four-headed noise-punk beast was born.
‘University Home’ is the first single taken from ‘Shame Spiral’, the follow up to 2015’s ‘No Pleasure’, set for release on June 16th 2017 via Bigoût Records and Hominid Sounds.
In typical piss-take fashion, the video to accompany their engrossing new single is a brilliant homage to digital versatile discs – or more likely just zany adverts for DVD’s from the late 90’s spliced with the intro to You Bet. Who can tell?
