Exclusive: Steve and the Sea releases new single ‘Sleep Now’ ahead of new EP { Home }

In a brilliant turn of events, singer songwriter Steve McCarthy has taken a literal spin with his solo project Steve and the Sea, shifting South to Brighton a few years back, planting himself miles and miles away from his hometown of Sheffield to right near the sea!

Having secured a spot near the big drink, Steve began work on a new EP and we’re chuffed to have the initial look at first single ‘Sleep Now‘ ahead of its release at the end of this week!

Hypnotic and entrancing with a stop-you-in-your-tracks vocal, its video is just as captivating – animated and produced by Steve himself. It’s taken from new EP { Home } the follow up to 2016’s ‘Stay Dry, Stay Warm’ out April 10th.

Mixed by Steve Durose (Oceansize, Amplifier) and mastered by Tom Peters (Alpha Male Tea Party), it takes influence from the likes of Villagers, Postal Service, Jeff Buckley, Bon Iver and Radiohead. Find out for yourself below and pre-save ‘Sleep Now’ here!
