UK Exclusive: WATCH a video for ‘Ether’ from the new Salisman & His Hermetic Order album

Self-describing themselves as “…the milk in the synthesizer” and “…the rum between the sofa cushions“, Anglo-American outfit Salisman & His Hermetic Order today share an exclusive first look on these shores at their new video for ‘Ether‘.

From their new album ‘Clairvoyance‘, out this week via the ever dependable Cruel Nature Records, the video (by friend of the blog Jase Kester) expertly matches the Americana vibe of the track, a haze of nostalgia that compliments the longing of the vocal. (Think The Wonder Years, with a bit more bite.)

Of ‘Ether‘, the band suggest it’s “A fuzz-guitar lover’s delight.

The impression that I always leave, it is one of pure pretension. I feel nothing. I am most alive when I’m blacked out in a lampshade.

Good times on a warm summer day.

Bringing together the talents of Tyneside’s Chris Tate (Score, d_rradio) and Chicagoans Paul Foreman and Travis Salisbury, when we last spoke of this trio they were known as Salisman & His Blessed Eunuchs, putting out their debut album ‘Absolution‘.

Moving onto His Hermetic Order, their new album ‘Clairvoyance‘ is available for pre-order now, physically limited to just 50 cassette copies world-wide (on pro-dubbed frosted blue cassette, mind you!)
